Nourishing Soup

Chilly winter days will have you searching for the perfect soup recipe. This Nourishing Soup is full of seasonal veggies, protein-packed chicken, and the perfect amount of fresh herbs and spices. All you need to do is chop up your ingredients and throw them in the slow cooker for a filling dinner for the whole family.

Here’s what you’ll need:

2 1/2 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cubed

2 large leeks, chopped

3 stalks celery, chopped

6 large carrots, chopped

2 Tbs minced garlic

2 tsp turmeric

1 tsp freshly grated ginger

2 Tbsp parsley, chopped

1 quart bone broth

2 quarts low sodium chicken broth

1 tsp pepper

2 tsp salt


  1. Combine all ingredients in a large slow cooker and cook on high for 6 hours, or until carrots are tender.


Recipe tip:

Add your favorite seasonal  veggies like broccoli, cauliflower or squash.
