SUPPORTING OUR PARTNERS DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS

HONORING SCHOOL FOOD PROFESSIONALS, HEROES ON THE FRONTLINE

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, schools have had to pivot to accommodate these unprecedented circumstances. From in-person to distanced to hybrid learning – or some combination of the three – schools have had to figure out how to safely and effectively educate. And with so many children relying on school meals as their main source of nutrition, they’ve needed to find ways to safely continue to feed them, too.

Since March, School Food Professionals have been challenged to figure out new and creative ways to do so. From walk, bike and drive thrus, to bus delivery, the feat to feed our children has been nothing short of remarkable. Challenges have only increased with the start of the new school year, and School Food Professionals will continue to be on the frontlines working long hours to make sure no child goes hungry.

So, while we continue to be firmly committed to our mission to eliminate the Harmful 7, we are temporarily focusing our efforts on providing our partners with funding for essential supplies needed to safely continue serving students. We invite you to join our efforts. Your donation is more important than ever.
