SCHOOL LUNCH PROFESSIONALS: THE UNSUNG HEROES OF THE COVID-19 CRISIS
If your family doesn’t rely on school meals, you may not be aware of the heroic efforts of our nation’s school nutrition professionals. School districts are doing what they have always done, they are showing up for our kids.
Today and every day over 30 million children rely on the public-school system for meals. Our School Lunch Heroes responded to school closures without hesitation committing to feed our children through the unknowns of COVID-19. From walk, bike and drive thrus to bus delivery to feeding zones, the feat to feed our children is nothing short of remarkable. We applaud their ingenuity and commitment to feeding our children and encourage you to support them.
