Creating a Pocket Forest in Minneapolis

In partnership with SUGi, we created a pocket forest—a densely packed tree and shrub area in urban spaces—at the McKinley Neighborhood Association in North Minneapolis. This  will support 200 youth from WE WIN, a non-profit for children's social and academic success, by providing shade and protection from extreme heat, a safe play area and supplying children food to eat at school while giving them a place to learn about their environment by growing food.
