Life Time Foundation Athlete Program 2024 Launch

The Life Time Foundation Athlete Program gives athletes the opportunity to fundraise for the Life Time Foundation’s life-changing mission while competing at some of the nation’s most iconic endurance events, including the Leadville Trail 100 MTB and Run, Big Sugar Gravel, and UNBOUND Gravel. Since all Foundation administrative costs are covered by Life Time, Inc., every dollar raised by Foundation Athletes directly supports our mission.

Besides competing for a greater cause, the Foundation Athlete Program has other benefits such as guaranteed race entry, store credit for Life Time Foundation gear, personal fundraising support, swag bags, and so much more!

In 2022, the Life Time Foundation partnered with 185 athletes to raise more than $360,000 for schools and community organizations nationwide to improve youth nutrition and promote youth physical activity.

Athlete Feature: Barbara Powell

One shining example of the program’s success is Barbara Powell, Life Time Mind Coach and a dedicated athlete. Barbara was a 2023 Foundation Athlete, and she ran the Leadville Trail Marathon, Silver Rush 50, and fundraised for the Leadville Trail 100.

When asked what it means to her to be a Foundation Athlete, Barbara said, “I grew up in a family of 12 where movement and nutrition were foundations to our wellbeing. I accredit so much of my adult wellbeing to those being accessible in my childhood. The Foundation gives me an opportunity to pay it forward and ensure every kid has the same kind of access.”

To stay motivated, Barbara says, “I identify as a runner. Getting out the door to move is a deep part of who I am. I also take seriously the notion of ‘walking and talking’ — if I am supporting others to be their healthy and best in my coaching, I get to do the same for myself, too!”

Exciting News: 2024 Program Launch

As we reflect on the positive impact of the Life Time Foundation Athlete Program, we are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of the 2024 edition on January 15. The Life Time Foundation remains committed to empowering athletes and enabling them to reach new heights in their sporting endeavors. The 2024 program promises to build on past successes in the Youth Nutrition and Youth Movement areas, while expanding its focus on conserving, preserving, and protecting the environment, so everyone can live healthy, happy lives
